About 3 years ago, I discovered I had developed fibromalagia after working over 10 years in the beauty industry. I struggled with health and financial problems because of this debilitating illness. While I searched for answers to my health problems, I also had to find a new way to earn a living, while not causing myself further harm. My mom always wanted me to be an artist, well it's taken awhile to achieve that, and I'm still evolving. I design a boho-chic jewelry line called “Tribal-Treasure”, that combines several cultural influences. I select natural earthy items combined with gemstones to connect us with mother earth. It's my attempt to express being “green” through wearable art. FIRST FRIDAY is a art/entertainment event held every first Friday of the month from 6 to 10 pm year round. In the Arts District(take I-15, exit Charleston)from Holsum Lofts to 3rd Street and from Wyoming to Boulder Avenue. www.firstfriday-lasvegas.org ART IN THE SQUARE located inside Town Square, 6605 S. Las Vegas Blvd.(89119) near McCarran Airport. This art/music festival is held every 4th FRIDAY of each month, 4pm-9pm March-September on Main street. SHOW AND TELL CRAFTERS MARKET is located at 5200 S. Fort Apache(89148). Show days and times are: Friday July 25 12pm-8:30pm, Saturday July 26 8:30am-7:30pm, Sunday July 27 9:30am-6pm.
